Quality and experienced speech pathology services in the Southern Riverina.

Our services are tailored to each individual, as we work together to help them achieve their goals. We offer face to face services in our warm and inviting clinic, at your home, your child's school or early learning centre.

Living rurally shouldn't restrict your access to essential health services. Access to timely, affordable and quality speech pathology services is what we stand for.

About us

Handmade Underline Drawing

Outreach Speech Pathology is based in the beautiful southern Riverina town of Jerilderie, NSW. The business was founded in 2015 by speech pathologist Steph Girdwood after she fell in love with a local farmer. In the early days, Steph travelled hundreds of kilometres every week to bring speech pathology services to the towns of Jerilderie, Berrigan, Finley, Conargo, Oaklands, Savernake, Corowa and Urana. After having her two daughters and needing to be closer to home, she settled down and opened a clinic at 39 Jerilderie Street, Jerilderie.

In 2020, reinforcement was brought in and Katie joined the team as practice manager and allied health assistant. Now a two woman show, Outreach Speech Pathology continues to provide quality speech pathology assessments, intervention and consultancy services to the surrounding area.

Due to local demand, we have had to temporarily limit our service area and currently only provide outreach services to Berrigan, and Finley, as well as offer appointments at our Jerilderie Clinic.

Together, Steph and Katie pride themselves on delivering supports that are family centred, individualised and strengths based. Living locally means they have a unique understanding of their community and local services. They understand the lived experiences, values and the challenges that many rural people face.
